Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers is more than a business—it’s a family. Founded by Stephen Cole and Gary Spicer, our story is rooted in a shared vision of providing customers with exceptional jewellery and an unforgettable experience. With locations in Fredericton and Saint John, we’ve grown to serve the communities of New Brunswick with the finest diamonds, engagement rings, and custom jewellery.

Our foundation is built on decades of expertise. Stephen Cole, raised in Riverview, NB, has dedicated his career to the jewellery industry, earning prestigious designations from the Gemological Institute of America, the American Gem Society, and the Canadian Jewellers Association. Gary Spicer brought his jewellery expertise from London, England to Canada’s East Coast in 1991, where he built a legacy of craftsmanship that continues to inspire. Together, their partnership created Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers—a name synonymous with quality, trust, and exceptional craftsmanship.

For Gary, the journey began in 1991 when his family fell in love with eastern Canada and moved to New Brunswick. He started first Spicer Smith & Co. in Brunswick Square, and then G&P Goldsmith, later known as Goldsmith Studio, in the Sears in Saint John. Stephen joined the jewellery industry in 1995 and became the President of Just Silver. Under Stephen’s leadership, Just Silver grew from one location in Brunswick Square in Saint John to four stores across southern New Brunswick.

In 2002, Gary and Stephen’s joint business Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers was launched in Fredericton! Its first store location was built in the Fredericton Mall. In 2012 the Regent Mall location was constructed and was their primary location until 2023. When Goldsmith Studio closed, Spicer Jewellery opened in 2013 in McAllister Place Mall—the largest jewellery store at the time!

Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers and Spicer Jewellery quickly became cornerstones for customers seeking quality diamond and fine jewellery products. The partnership between Gary and Stephen allowed the business to expand even further in 2023 when Spicer Jewellery joined Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers!

Now, Gary Spicer and Stephen Cole proudly operate the most accredited diamond stores and the only remaining AGS jewellery stores in Atlantic Canada from their two beautiful locations in Fredericton on Woodstock Road and Saint John in the McAllister Place Mall!
